The English subtitles don't reflect what is being said in Japanese. It's just the English script's subtitles which is a shame because there's a decent bit that gets changed in terms of the script. Great performances overall though.

I think that Barret is the best AI here. Cloud and Sephiroth are fine, AI could've worked on Sephiroth's silver hair. With the rest of the comments on Aerith, it's the eyes. I wonder why AI wouldn't generate it to be green haha! As for Tifa, I feel that AI could've improved it more. Maybe you should try searching for real life models. Maybe you can use Dasha Taran for Tifa's face. Dasha Taran is really pretty and has that young look to her. For Yuffie, I would suggest the same thing, find a Japanese model that you think would look like Yuffie. But I really appreciate how "human" they look in this AI. My always issue with Final Fantasy VII Remake's games is that the developers incorporated this “anime” style on the main character’s faces, and for me, they look kinda creepy haha! Like their eyes are very large, very anime-ish, and their noses are so small that sometimes they look like cats. One thing that bothers me too is that some Non playable background characters look normal human. A good example for me is Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 remakes. It’s very well done, the characters look human and relatable because they used real models for their character’s faces. Like Ashley Graham’s face model, Ella Freya looks really good in Resident Evil 4 Remake! She’s perfect! 😍

pretty sure only Yuffie is asian out of these characters. the rest are from fantasy europe. They even comment on yuffie and her people in a racist way in the story

A tough one. AI struggles more when the characters are anime-style or have unusual proportions. This must have been challenging for you. I love this part 1:00 with the hyper-realistic big-headed person xD. And Igor turned out really well 1:30. This one 2:59 ended up funny with the mustache xD. Other than that, there are some very interesting results ^^

Yeah, that's why I mostly focused on the 3D CGI cutscenes from Reloaded, because the proportions were somewhat easier for Runway to work with. It doesn't help that most of Persona's cutscenes are sub 30fps, so the animation looks even more shoddy than it should in a realistic environment. I have all the cutscenes from Persona 4/5 on my channel, and everything you see here was all I got to work. Maybe things will change in the future. Haha

Nice work! Some characters are very faithful to the originals but more realistic. I really liked Aerith 0:17 And this Barret it's awesome 2:17 I'm sorry there were issues with Caith Sith and Red XIII. I had the same issue with Kimahri in FFX, Runway turned him into a very strange creature. I'm glad more people are trying out Runway with Final Fantasy. At first there were only videos of GTA-style gameplay and I'm glad that other types of games are starting to be tested as well.

Nice to see a comment from the guy who inspired me to make this video! It's such a shame that by the time I signed up to Runway, it became so sluggish with generations and I had to go through so many failed generations to find anything salvageable. I know that they released a new plan recently that's even above premium that supposedly has better priorities in place for heavy users, but once my membership ends in the next few days, I'll probably give it another go next year to see to how far it'll come(either Runway or another AI model). I JUST hope they finally get around to fixing the random beards on characters who don't have them to begin with xD. Yeah, the few times I actually got Runway to generate anything with Cait Sith or Red, it would never be in a 'realistic' style and it would change any surrounding character/s to a weird abstract art style. I'm planning to release a new video today that's based on Kingdom Hearts. The AI went CRAZY, despite me trying to force characteristics like 'caucasian', 'east asian', 'male', etc. but I thought it might be funny anyway for people to see and I wouldn't want to see my poor membership go to waste, so look forward to that soon!

@cgtio I didn’t know there was a new plan for frequent users; I’ll look into it because it sounds interesting. I’ll be eagerly waiting for your Kingdom Hearts video. It’s one of the games I wanted to try, but my subscription ended before I could. I still have three videos in reserve that I haven’t uploaded yet: a somewhat “special” version of FFVII, a Sims video, and another one for INZOI. I also tried making other videos unrelated to video games, like realistic versions of animated movies such as Frozen, but the results were terrifying, and I didn’t want to turn my videos into the next children’s nightmare xD.

@cgtio I've seen others that have come close when it comes to video game characters. Tifa Ai looks nothing like Tifa from the game. The face, eyes, and lips are completely wrong, let alone the mouth in your video. And don't even get me started with the way the others look
