Just as German and French ships visit their former enemy so openly, who knows, in the future Russian ships may visit British ports as freely.

They have visited for operational training for many decades, they also took part in training at Portland before the transfer to Devonport.

Type 23 frigates…..a design that’s well over40 years old👎🏻👎🏻 Long overdue for the scrapyard, the fact that they’re still in service is emblematic of the way that successive governments have trodden on the Royal Navy👎🏻 Do the maths: The RN currently has 34,000 personnel to defend the 69,000.000 UK population!! ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC🤮🤮🤮

There is no North Corner Jetty at HMNB Devonport that's pompey. Looks like 'Frigate Alley' or Weston Mill Jetty to me
@WarshipTV3 ай бұрын
North Corner Jetty or pontoon is the official name and is correct, a small stripe of public land lying in between north and south yards of Devonport. Also known as Cornwall Beach. It is definitely Devonport - I should know, I filmed it! And since when has the Torpoint Ferry been at Portsmouth? Thanks for watching!
@andrewmartin59413 ай бұрын
@@WarshipTV I wasn't saying it's pompey just that North Corner is a pompeyism. 22 years based in Guzz on T22s and we always called Weston Mill Lake, Frigate Alley (now Amphib Alley) or Weston Mill Jetty. Sorry if lost in translation

Type 23s were good warships in their day - 30 years ago!!! Now they’re an outdated piece of junk and proof of how 14 years of Tory cuts have left the Royal Navy in tatters. We are currently 14 (FOURTEEN!!!!) warships under strength!!!👎🏻👎🏻

@WarshipTV3 ай бұрын
The extreme tidal forces coming into Devonport, there are as many as 8 currents around that part of the River Tamar and going out to sea. Both HMS Eagle and HMS Ark Royal grounded in the 1970s, and its not somewhere you want to ground a nuclear sub! lol
