Point of correction; the masquerade was NOT established in the central region as the gentleman stated. It was established in the then Western Region of Ghana with its administrative headquarters in Cape Coast. Which was comprised of the area from Accra Mendskrom all the way to the Half Assini. ( the present locations of western, central and the western north). The fancy-dress as it was called then was celebrated in Swedru, winneba, saltpond, cape coast elmina and other towns. The modern day central region was created by the Busia Administration in 1970. Therefore, to say that the masquerade was first organized in the central region is historical, intellectually and factually inaccurate.

Finally the 2022 version is in. Some popcorn will do for me now. The only thing that makes me miss GH 🇬🇭 is Taadi masquerade.
