This became my anthem when I dated an English girl back in the 1980s. Still feel the pain, angst, of 5his amazing Aussie song. The Little Heroes where an Aussie band who deserved much more recognition. An amazing band with immaculate songs. Love this with a passion still. 🙂❤️❤️❤️

This is a nice song. I vaguely remember it from those years as it only received limited airplay in the US. Was mostly played on the underground dark wave radio stations, WDRE New York etc.

Has to be the worst song ever written “and did the government vote last night”. Holy crap! Just jumped on to record my downvote. Never ever, ever want to hear this song ever. Bye.

Have not heard this in donkeys years, what a blast from the past. I was still playing Led Zep and AC/DC full tilt when this came out, but I loved this song. We had so many great bands and songs and such a wonderful way of life and attitude that has long since departed Australia with the dead ANZACS. It's shithole of wokeism and corrupt politics now and I mourn the dead Aussie spirit that really died it's last death under the psychotic nazi boot heel of covid and bullshit. My ancestors are screaming in their graves at what Australia has become, a servile nation of obedient little tax slaves glued to tv that were a once strong bunch of hilarious people grounded in commons sense that did stuff and spat in the eye of dickwad authority types that are nothing but a bunch of pissweak sycophants and librabry book monitors looking for priviliges over their fellow man at any cost and have become the sociopaths of gubberment with their piggy snouts in the trough of globalist forieign powers, its a nation of traitors and treasonous scumbags who protect pedophiles in power. But the late 70's till the 90's were a great time for me.

Another great band from that late 70s early 80s era, the live music in pubs, clubs and band venues back then was so good, you could almost find live music in every corner, it was great time for music in general, very good innovative bands came through with good original material.

I remember seeing this band Little Heroes when they supported Uriah Heep,at first people weren't sure and it felt awkward but when this song started the mood changed and people sat up and took notice and the rest of their set was well received,I cant remember the year,I dont remember too much between 79 and 87,but hey,it was the 80s and life was good.

I was the art director and costume designer and makeup artist on this shoot. It was the first thing I ever worked on in the film industry. I was 21 years of age. The idea was based on the film noir masterpiece The Night The Hunter. It was all shot in a 24 hour period in Sydney suburb of Glebe in 1982. Greg Pickhaver of Roy and HG fame was the first assistant director on the shoot.
