It's cool to see the younger generation doing the same stuff to SN95's that we were doing 20 years ago when they were new, same sketchy jackstand work and all. If you do this again unbolt the brake hose from the frame so it's not being tugged & use some flat pavement, gravel is too unstable. The jack needs to able to roll forward and backwards as it's being used, otherwise it will slip out.
@Kellen_Y.A.D.M23 күн бұрын
@@COBRO98 thanks for the insight! I know it’s sketchy…. Believe you me 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I always shake the car before I crawl under, but yes I end up pulling the car to the jack rather than the jack moving under the car, definitely not ideal. For me and my KZbin channel I like to show how to do things in a very minimal way, that many others might have the same setup, power tools and a hard (+flat) surface is nice but that’s not what most of us have, my KZbin channel is for the “average driveway mechanic”👍
@Kellen_Y.A.D.M23 күн бұрын
@@COBRO98 I’ve done the clutch on my Mustang, the lowering kit, brakes, oil changes, exhaust, pulled a motor (all on my KZbin channel) in the gravel, like I said before it’s definitely sketchy, and over time the jack stand WILL sink into the dirt/gravel, using a board or brick under the stand helps drastically! But because I’m jacking the car up on gravel and not pavement the tires slide on the rocks, when the wheels of the jack don’t, I’ve learned to account for the vehicle being PULLED when I go to jack the second side of the vehicle up 🤷🏼♂️ sketchy ✅ but it works 😂😂, gotta work with what you got!!! 👍🤙 if you have power tools and a flat surface then you have an advantage, but I don’t see many people film only hand tools videos, or work in the gravel… as you stated it’s cool to see the younger generation doing the same stuff to the sn95’s… and that’s my goal is to inspire people to work on their own vehicles regardless of what they have to work with, or where they have to work at, or their knowledge of cars. I don’t need to watch my own videos, but not very long ago my very first oil change took me 30 minutes 🤯 now it’s maybe a ten minute process we all have to start somewhere 👨🏻🔧

I have a 1993 5.0 engine.} I’m not sure if that’s right, but if you need to replace the vacuum lines, an aftermarket set made for the truck would work, or diy with tube that won’t collapse and is fuel safe, as long as you don’t have a vacuum leak and any other failing parts your should be able to tune the f150 from the distributor. Also it just hit me, the 1993 f150 4.9/5.0 does not use a vacuum advance distributor, and I believe that’s what you are asking about, there for you only turn the distributor on this model I hope I was able to help if not drop another comment and I’ll be happy to respond! LMAO. The F150 doesn't use a burp tube because the radiator cap sits higher than the rest of the cooling system. The reason for the burp tube is to get any excess air out of the system at the highest point, as the Mustang radiator sits lower than the rest of the cooling system. Air trapped in the system can become a blockage and stop the flow and result in overheating.
@Kellen_Y.A.D.M6 ай бұрын

Rupus Uno protect is awesome leaves you with a three month paint protection sealant and has carnauba wax to help fill in those small pores and scratches. It leaves it looking extremely glossy and hydrophobic. also use a prep spray after polishing or a alcohol solution, preferred to use a prep spray. It has certain additives to help remove polishes a lot easier. If you want to help fully correct your paint and coat properly use 3-D one step compound. (it's a one step compound that you can cut and finish with) then coat the vehicle. HydrO2 it's awesome its a paint sealent. You can easily coat a vehicle in five minutes, spray on the paint rinse off and you get an instant three months durability I know it sounds crazy but it's awesome, and then, If you wanna go ahead do a ceramic coating HydroSilex Recharge is a beginner level, ceramic coating safe for everybody and leaves you with an extremely glossy hydrophobic surface with six month durability.

@SumDetailingguy7 ай бұрын
Clay baring the surface is for decontaminating the surface and removing embedded dirt or grime. It is very important to prep the surface before polishing if not done so it can scratch the car even more because you're picking up the things that are on the paint and dragging it across the paint, then polishing slowly removes the clearcoat, leveling it out, and giving it a more glossy look while slowly removing scratches.
