CAA's requirement - to revalidate the SEP after 2 years = 12 hours in the last 12 months prior to the expiry date (1 hour has to be with an instructor). If you let the rating expire after the 2nd year, to revalidate you'll need to take another skills test CAA requirement - To carry passengers, 3 T/O and Landings minimum in a 90 day period as sole manipulator Redhill requirement - at least 1 flight (could even be 1 circuit) within a 28 day period, otherwise you'll need a check flight with an instructor. Redhill requirement - every year when redhill change to RWY 06/24 winter ops you'll need to be signed off by an instructor regardless of if you were signed off last year. Redhill requirement - You will also need to do 1 cross-channel check flight with an instructor if you plan on crossing the channel

not long at all mate, a short powerpoint and around 2 familarisation flights. Just some general handling, stalls, pfls etc. and then a few circuits (incl flapless and glide).

Hi, yes perfectly safe, all of the school's aircraft are maintained thoroughly and follow strict maintenance schedules. The reason why these aircraft are still flying safely after such a long time is because they are maintained and well looked after. You have nothing to worry about
