This is so cool. Thank you KZbin algo. I was aware that this was their sound historically, but I did not know that they continued to this day. Are there many choirs that sing in this style? Was Lil Harden Armstrong ever a Fisk student? Gosh I love it, amazing.

I remember singing this a couple years ago in high school. I'm afraid to say that Fisk did it better than we did, and we had triple the number of singers.

The audition and performances of the Fisk Jubilee Singers is noted in their biography of the early years , but specifically their appearances in the World Peace Jubilee in Boston 1872 and the importance of P S Gilmore in this event . I’ve listened to much of the jubilee singers at Fisk, but I really love this choir the best. They are amazing to be honest , praise God.
