Never heard this before. Feels more edgy and raw but i can see why the reworked version was a commercial success - much better, more sophisticated production, appealed to a wider audience. Plus the vid was contemporary which is now a brilliant piece of film/London history

I love this version! Bobby Orlando will always be the king of High Energy! this was the very first version of West End Girls... they didn't get on with Bobby so they left and did their own thing, Much love, High Energy is my favourite music genre, i make my own music in this style under Night Energy please gimme a lil love x

Sorry this is dreadfully cliche and silly. Just heard they handed this track over to Bananarama in 2009 for the ladies album Viva. Sara Dallin's very smart and knew even when she asked them to write a song for their album, that this track was taken lazily off their PSB shelf and Bananarama rejected it rightfully so. For Chris to say Sara is "difficult isn't she" is an insult and very typically a male comment when women know what they want and aren't afraid to say so. It rude and totally inappropriate for such a snide queen remark in 2024. I think this track does nothing for Bananarama. It's dreadfully bad. Also, Neil and Chris seem full of themselves with Neil's recent comments about Taylor Swift. They need to check themselves and shut up sometimes. I love PSB ... This is a dreadful song.

I can never get enough of Bobby O’s version! I’m not being sarcastic-- I love (and miss) the 80’s clap-track! 👏

Somewhere around 2010 the world started down a path that brings us to this present hell-hole we call life. Looking back to what we once had is all we can hope for now. Things are too far gone now to be changed.

I'm glad I saw this today and not 3 years from now! Thanks for the incredible breaking news story! I can only imagine what that letter with the original 12" would have sold for anywhere else. David Prior is a very lucky journalist to have found that and the store owner didn't try to price gouge him
