This video depicts my exact situation. I am currently working a job that is seen as “prestigious” or one that I am lucky to have in this current job market. But it has been breaking me down and destroying me for the past 2 years. The role, people, career outlook, etc, none of it is a fit for me. And here I am trying to find time in between constantly working late nights, desperately applying and hoping for a new job and a new role and a new start.

I've been out of a job for 4 months. I have let it dictate my worth especially when certain people around me tell me "You're asking for too much". As you said, I will not be telling people anymore although when people know you're looking they ask often if you've found something. I worked my butt off to put myself through college and even had internships with companies like Disney and Warner Bros just to be looking for a job again. It's definitely a roller coaster and I don't have the energy anymore. I don't even get excited for interviews anymore, it's almost like I'm afraid to hope. Thank you for sharing your experience I hope that my breakthrough is around the corner, maybe I should be open to relocation. Congratulations!! I hope it's everything you ever dreamed of, it sounds incredible!

OMG This is exactly what I am going through right now. It’s been over three years where I have been trying to leave for the same reasons. I really want a job that I want to do and that is a great fit for both parties. I finally found the courage to leave and now I am focusing on the job search.
