As horrible as this event is this will make for a beautiful rc crawling location. A few of us in the rc community have been talking about doing a cash comp up there after it warms up and donate the proceeds to the locals.

@JASPERSADVENTURES4523 not specifically talking about the land slide it's self but more along the river where all the exposed rock face is. That way the kids can join in on the fun and give them something to do. We spoke to a bunch of the locals when we were up there and they all seemed to think it's a pretty good idea to do something like that for the kids.

I don't disagree by any means. You would probably have better luck around the Bat Cave volunteer fire department. If you can get in touch with Fire Chief Steven Freeman and the local Pastor that would be a great start.. just know you won't be able to travel from Chimney Rock to Bat Cave.. It's highly restricted at the moment.

The 6 main rivers in western N.C all creasted 25-30 ft above norm. The amount of water was beyond belief. U had to see it to believe it. Yet... All the streams not attached to any of the main river's barely rose above a normal bad rain storm. They can embellish about 25 inches of rain in the mtns causing the immense flooding. Again.. the amount of water flowing was bibical.... Hummmm... Somethings not right about this event.

Im praying for the people who got 700 dollars and the one who got nothing to get a lump sum from the dam opened on the people due to overflow. And the help will come .Keep praying for a resolution to cause of dam being to full before this happened ❤
