This is an amazing collection of songs, easy to just rock out to, head bang, smoke/drink, go skiing. Can take you to lots of places. Anyone have any other bands with lyrics and sound similar, I have listened to every album and song about 1,0000 times, like literally for the past year 40% of the music I listened was simply McCafferty, amazing band

I’ve tried forever but I rly don’t think there’s anything even close to being like mccafferty tbh. they were amazing while they lasted tho and its not the exact same vibe but I’ve always liked the rawness of The Flat Stanley’s too :) unfortunately they also haven’t released anything in a while tho so good luck

Day 1 of my MccJourney! Been listening to TFB since 2017 and I am ashamed of how many times I've just glossed over this band.. yes, im guilty of thinking that this was inexplicably linked to TFB ( I GUESS IT IS😂 I LOOOOVE "BOTTOM") What a find!

McCafferty just hit so different. They were my absolute favorite band I was just so drawn to their sound even though it was unlike anything i had heard before. The sound was so raw and the lyrics were just so powerful and relatable at the time i found them and even years after. Its not even the music alone that got me so invested.When i found them Beachboy had just come out and I was doing anything i could to find out more about them and find any music they had released and it was just a great journey to be honestly there were so many ups and downs with the band but thats what part of what i felt made it so special .its sad to see what happened in the long run but i will always cherish this music. I dont listen to them as often as i used to but when i do and i re listen to all of these EPs its just great.

oh 100% personally i associate a lot of mccaffertys songs with my mom. specifically when she was using, she was a completely different person than how she is now(clean) so i think about her when she was younger we’ll listening to some of these lol. a close friend of mine is another person i associate a lot of these songs with

I actually see a lot of myself in the lyrics, specifically all of my flaws. Every now and then you realize you are not as good as you think you are or want to be, and your not even sure what it means to "try" or "take responsibility", well I guess I gotta stick with keep telling myself I'm a really good person despite the mountain of evidence in my past and present.
