I spent many hours in my local music shop playing the DW-8000. This sounds just as I remember it.....except with FX! I almost bought the DW-8000, but the day I went to make the purchase, a brand new Juno 106 arrived! The choice was.....inevitable!!

Yes, the Juno 106 is a really great synthesizer. Intuitive operation, clearly structured interface, great analog sound. Thanks to its hybrid design, the DW-8000 is clearly superior in terms of sound diversity. Unfortunately, the user interface is not really user-friendly with its value input per parameter :)

Hello, I have a lot of Electromagnetic Interference when I use mojomojo overdrive and rd-6. It produce a buzz which is annoying… how do you deal with that ? (I use the drive more than you (sometimes at the maximum) so the noize is more present but it’s here even without activating mojomojo

Hi! For me, the background noise increases noticeably when I set the drive control above 60%. But it's nothing unusual for a pedal like this. The fact that you can also hear the noise when MojoMojo is deactivated makes me suspicious. Could be due to a poorly insulated cable or a defective power supply, some kind of ground loop.

@ thanks for your response, yes I have this noise when I plug 2 power supply regardless of which one I use and it does that even if I plug the second in a different wall prise… if I move the rd-6 in the air, holding it with my hand the noise is less. I am searching solution for remove this noise but I’m not sure what will work and I don’t want to buy something very expensive

@@MazHoot This is really strange. As you can hear in my video, I have no such problem. Does it make a difference whether you place the MojoMojo directly at the power output of the RD-6 or significantly away from it? Are both power supplies in a multiple socket? It's very difficult to diagnose remotely as there are so many possible causes.

@ the power supply are in multiple socket yes, I didn’t try with the mojomojo far away from the rd-6 I will try. And yea I don’t hear this at all in your video. Yes it’s hard to diagnose remotly, you are kind to answer, don’t worry I will resolve it someday, I think for now I need to make more tests

Very nice video! Does anyone knows i can use other samples on RD 6 with any DAW ? That is, occupy the sequence of the rd6 but with other kicks, hats, toms ?

Many thanks :) You can read the MIDI data from RD-6 with a DAW. The MIDI tracks can then trigger other samples in the DAW. The sounds in the RD-6 cannot be exchanged.

@@duque5582 Cuando se trata de sonidos de piano eléctrico, el reface CP es probablemente la mejor opción. Entre otras cosas, muy buenos sonidos de Rhodes, Wurlitzer y CP-80.

Unfortunately, Korg's DWGS synths were heavily overshadowed by the success of the DX-7 in the mid-80s. The mix of analog and digital was very powerful. Even today I'm still surprised by the characterful sounds that DWGS synthesis produces :)

i bought one of these keyboards last week. build quality and keybed is great but sound variety is very low and my expectations seemed very high against actual unit.

The STVC is modeled on a classic string ensemble. Compared to a Solina string, the variety of sounds is significantly higher. Ultimately it remains a string machine and you have to like the special character of the STVC :)

It's a string synth. What on earth did you expect? This just shows ignorance and a total lack of research. Maybe you also complain that your car doesn't double up as a snow plough and pick up truck.

@@2112jonr i wouldnt call that as ignorance. There is no way to go and test this before buying for me. When i found it since it has been imported already by somebody, i grabbed this as a master keyboard. This machine has a great potential as a string machine and some embedded synth engine , with very good sound quality, awesome keybed but very limited in editing sounds with its tiny screen and two momentary switches. It definetely needs an ipad or PC editor.

This plugin has an amazing crazy analog sound. It doesn't eat cpu at all really nothing. I don't understand why it doesn't get much attention. Very Underrated 😢

It has now become very difficult to pick out the real gems from the flood of virtual analogues. The Invader 2 is really a great synth with big sound for little money. You can also hear the quality of the plugin very nicely on my cover of the Twin Peaks Theme. The analog string sound comes from the Invader 2 :)
