Sounds like they might have assigned you the wrong position or just had the wrong person, haha! Hopefully, your second interview goes more smoothly! As for your question about the two monitors, you can move or save your icons and documents on either screen, but everything is stored on the same hard drive (PC)❤😊

I know what you mean about being discouraged if someone is being really negative, I'm the same and start second guessing myself -- but that that place is probably the exception, not the rule! I had a friend who was a dental assistant during university and she loved it, did it for years until she graduated and got a job in her degree field. So definitely keep pursuing it if you're passionate!

I been dental assistant for 23 years. I love it. I took a ten month program. It was tough but worth it. I have worked for dentists who were very hard on me and it was tough. But I kept on. I work at a great office and with a great dentist. I encourage you to do it. It’s a satisfying career and I love it. I’d love to offer you advice. You can do it. My so. Is going to do it as well. Congratulations to you Jazzy. ❤

I went back to school when I turned 30 to become a dental assistant myself. I love my job and the best decision just make sure you get paid what your worth girl.

Always go with your intuition. That was not a very put together place. Run don’t give them another thought.

I’m 53 and in Los Angeles. When I was in college I knew I loved the sciences! So I began taking those classes and became friends with girls (important part of story) that were (already dental assistants) taking the same classes I was and they were taking the classes as prerequisites for hygiene school. I was like ok wow I do love medical stuff but not nurse type stuff I think hygiene might be the way to go! So began cranking through these science classes loving them and for the first time in all my school experience doing GREAT. Getting outstanding grades…I was so excited to have found…”my thing”! Cut to maybe a year later and everyone is gearing up to apply to hygiene school and I look at the requirements for the program. I was on par or better than some of my classmates in regards to grades but I would have NEVER made it into the program because there was a point system they used to qualify candidates and the largest point category was if you were already a dental assistant you started off with 50 points😱. Oh my word, from the get go I was behind 50 points I couldn’t make up in any other category!! So I decided to enter into a dental assistant program like an ROP type of adult school program during a summer. I loved it!! We learned how to take X-rays, pass tools to doctor, clean instruments, set up trays for exams, and the school set us up in a dental office to get experience! I was in Newport Beach in an office that over looked the ocean and my drive to and from was down Pacific Coast Highway! It was heaven…right?!?! Wrong👎🏻 The staff in the office were lovely and so helpful but the doctor was well less than that😔and as I began thinking more about my path and what MY ultimate goal was….
