I've got PTSD, OCD, and dissociation. My burnout feels like an electric explosion of many voices screaming commands of what needs to be cleaned and fixed before anything can be clean and fixed, coupled with extreme isolation and walled off in my memories before I come back to the surface and it turns out another me was talking the whole time, and apparently they eat a banana by spooning it from the peel.

I might have conditions but not diagnosed yet, emotions are very hard to handle for me most of the time with racing thoughts and overall instability.

Thank you for sharing. How do you cope with it ? What helps you with anxiety and other body/mental/emotional reactions that you can have in various life situations ?

yes, yes, and yes. 10+ years after being diagnosed, still trying to figure out how all this is impacting me. not sure i can put it into words yet :(

I was told we are experiencing Grilief (Grief + Relief). It’s an emotionally rollercoaster. And to know the depression etc was caused by undiagnosed/unmanaged ND conditions is a hard pill to swallow. I found the best way to express it was art - drawing, moulding playdough, painting and music.

ADHD, diagnosed at 44. So, in hindsight, yes, big time. Still does and always will, as I picture that as a door in my mind which can't be locked anymore once that lock was broken. But you? Jeez, that's an unholy mixture! I am sorry, I sympathize, I empathize and I am also a bit happy that I am certain to not have dyslexia. :-)

It’s brutal to go so long without knowing. All those years of internal conflict and damage can defo leave chaos. The combo is defo a crazy mix. But I’m starting to just let them be - bloody hard though 🙈

I have (in mind) a zzzounds SG in the olive drab green that I have obsessed over since before they made it.... Olive drab SG was always my dream guitar... Ive yet to allow myself to buy it cuz I just can't quite justify pulling the trigger on it when I do have the money and then the rest of the time I just flatly don't have the cash.... Good to hear I'm not the only one doing all this over thinking. EDIT: my autism made me come back and fix that so the comment read more clearly... I am fixated on this guitar but have not purchased it. For three years or so lol.

Are you collecting these conditions like Pokemon?
@jonhartmusic2 ай бұрын
They’d probably be better as top trumps. But these conditions are also given at birth so no choice in the matter. Just spreading awareness.

Darnnn. That must be exhausting. How do you cope?

It can be and made me incredibly unwell when I was unaware / undiagnosed. But now I know it’s recognising what’s happening. I just journal everything and try to stay as healthy as I can.
