@@YAWSSSSSS No, I'm just sick of hearing how Vietnam *dominated* the war. Yes, America lost. However it took a lot of manpower for veitnam to win. @@therebellioussheep2368 You think I'm joking but I'm not. It's extremely offensive to all those that served in the war even the Vietcong. People died in that fucking war because they had no choice. My dad was almost drafted and could have died. If he had died, I wouldn't be here. They were drafted and many were never seen again. My friend witnessed his friends die in front of him and it wasn't their choice to go. It's not something to laugh about at all. My friend STILL suffers from PTSD from that war to this day. He couldn't even go back to America for a few months because so many of them were treated horribly. He had to reintegrate himself back into society. If you think it's funny, go laugh and make jokes in front of a 'Nam vet who lost his limbs. I'm sure that will be a really 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘺 conversation.

My dad was in Vietnam for 3 tours. Highest ranking NCO possible (command sergeant major). It fucked him up BAD. Like nightmares with kicking legs, PTSD that sent him into defense mode when he heard loud noises, such that when a little kid set off a string of firecrackers by a swimming pool, my father immediately serpentined onto the concrete and crawled until his knees and elbows bled. That having been stated, this is still fucking hilarious to me because the US was a global superpower with one of the most advanced militaries in the world and a long established track record of successful coups and black-ops in foreign nations; and yet, in spite of all that, they still got their asses handed to them by a ragtag gang of rice farmers. Granted, Vietnam suffered many, many more casualties than the US, but they still booted the latter outta their country and seem to have done pretty well for themselves since. It's ironic because Marx theorized that in order to transition to communism, you needed to industrialize. Vietnam at that time was primarily agrarian, but then the US army came and sprayed agent orange on all the crops, accelerating urban sprawl and hence industrialization. So, in the name of preventing the spread of Communism, the US inadvertently accelerated it.
