Dear Noel Gallagher, Please cover this in 2025 .. just trust me y’all, he could really bring a great version as I love his acoustic solo pickin/ bluestone sound more now that I ever did.. ❤

Thank you for this upload Lane Garwood. Listening to this country boy singing from the heart and finger picking his guitar stops me dead in my tracks. What a great song this is to hear. What a great singer and musician he was. My love to all.

The sound set up for this was so good for just a little interview. Only Greg could have orchestrated that part of it for the taping of this performance. 🤔

Never thought this song could possibly be soulful. Best acoustic guitar-vocal accompaniment I've heard on any song.

Gregg Allman is and will always be the greatest singer America ever produced. Not to mention his song writing abilities.

Thank you for posting. He was one of the greats! So grateful for videos like these where he can live on. If I've listened to this once I listen to it a thousand times. The world sure feels more empty without him.

Thank You! I was a patron of Malemute Saloon in 1973 and 1974. We had hoot and hollering good times. We were there when Fairbanks was the get away town from working on the slope up near Barrow on the Alaska Pipeline. Second Street was filled with action every night from 4pm until 5am. The main location was the Chena Bar almost to Noble Street on 2nd Street. The Savoy... Chilkoot Charlies... The Elbow Room... and several other places. The natives would come in from all over Northern Alaska... and we would have a GREAT time every single night... Yes, thank you. You awaken many memories!

Gregg taught Duane to play guitar. Duane later turned out to be the superior guitar. Both natural musicians.😎

He may have; and that’s insane to consider. Coming from someone who reveres Duane on a mythological level. When GA sang unaccompanied using that right-hand technique of his on a beautiful dread…and he was on; it’s lights out 🍄

His voice .... it’s so potent. Most every guy has a woman in their life, past or present that listening to this will stir up memories of her. I know I do. For 9 years off and on we were like a drug to each other. Not healthy, but addicted nonetheless. We’re finally “clean” of one another today and have been for several years. Like in the song it says “only time” will ultimately heal you.
