getting rid of the electoral college would in the short term favor liberal politicians, but the more significant longer lasting effect would be to encourage both parties to move towards the center and away from extremism

I don't know why this was recommended to me, out of the blue, after it being put up on KZbin 2 years ago. But, the fact that it included the "nanny, nanny, rich kid" song made me smile. A lot. I have that song as a ringtone on my phone!
