ya, this was pretty crappy, even when you got well ahead of the water, the water would speed up to you, making it so if you mess up, you're S.O.L., no room for error and some of us have not lived our whole lives playing Mortal Kombat so we don't have those light speed reflexes, I HATE this part

I seriously don’t have enough ammo to defeat the first boss. When I load into the game I only have 3 shotgun bullets & 0 for the pistol. I know they have rounds for the pistol when you fight the boss but that’s not enough to defeat this mothafucka. Do I seriously need to start over & save fuckin bullets??

If you manage to scan the Apex (sweet spot is where Alex is, go up a bit) your health will go down to one point, all your Psi will be depleted and will instill Fear. If you hear January's warning about it, it makes sense. It does not unlock an entry, but damn it is scary.
