Have you ever tried putting other strings on there? I'm really curious, haven't gotten around buying one for myself.

Kinda wish they would release a much bigger hurdy gurdy build

Do you think that it’s possible to convert it to left handed?

No, because you would have been going straight on the fire in medieval times ;)

Isn’t the 7th note in the octave the open string. That’s why guitars only have 6

any chance you can do a short write-up on how you did this? and maybe what you noticed when you began tweaking that caused you to make fine adjustments? I would love to be able to play a full scale on mine as well, and more just need a few ideas on how to start.

The 7th key is the open string with none of the keys pressed So basicly you added a 8th note to the octave

Great! my husband bought this for me for xmas and I'm super excited to build it. Yours sounds much, much better than other videos I've seen. I have no experience with hardy-gurdy playing, but curious to see if I can build one and get a decent sound out of it!

thank you! I knew there were mods to make but this is my very first instrument (decided to go with this just to learn on I don't care about the sound!) I will definitely try your modifications... after I learn why you made them haha!

Sounds professional after the modifications! Thanks for sharing. <3

great work... come and join us in Hurdy gurdy gateway facebook group... is you will find it a WHOLE lot easier to play with a strap... and look into cotton for the wheels... still great effort!
