Question: What is the difference between Akan and Twi?
@language-culture9 ай бұрын
Thank you for the question. Akan is one of the major ethnic group in Ghana. Twi is their language. In short, The Akans speak Twi.

Yes, please. Asante is a tribe from the Akan ethnic group, and Twi is their language.

"pia and nom" don't have only one syllable. They have two rather in Twi.
@language-culture Жыл бұрын
I appreciate your opinion. Note: In Twi, every syllable must have a vowel ( ɛnne nnyegyeeɛ - a, e, ɛ, i, o, ɔ, u). Some syllables have 2 vowels that make one sound. (Example ; / *ia* / as in pia). Therefore, the word *Nom* has one vowel sound that is */o/* *Pia* has 2 vowels that make 1 sound */ia/* In conclusion ; *nom* and *pia* have one syllable. Thank you! Most of the words you used in teaching syllables were wrong. The number of syllables were almost all wrong.
@Constitution10 Жыл бұрын
For example, "nom" is not one word syllable but rather two in Twi. "no +m =nom. Akyiwadeɛ, deɛ - de-ɛ with two syllables not one.
