Im glad this video and lyrics exists i tried finding it on spotify but its greyed out not sure what happened to it and i came on here to listen to it becuase its a mastpiece that shouldnt be forgotten.

as of writing this comment, the score is not officially accessible on streaming services (songs or not) and this is now a rare safe haven (lol) for those of us who found so much compelling mastery of dramatism in the underpinnings of the in-show score (which is a masterclass in motivic development in every single volume - most especially 3 and 7, as here) now. fun trivia from my research as a film scorer/musician, and because i was curious about which choral sample library was used and why: for anyone who's interested in the choir and ominous chanting, it's done with a sample library named Voxos. the orchestrator of this track, alex abraham, has clarified the selected syllables he arranged to create these pseudo-words. given the nature of Voxos' recorded set of phonemes and syllables, it doesn't allow for total control of word construction or rendering with the pre-made syllables, but he likes to approximate "real" phrases with these vague building blocks, and long story short, his ethos in designing this track's chanting during cinder's section is pretty much cinder talking The Most smack. it's actually so hilarious to see written out. in lieu of a link, you can look up the track by title on the RWBY fandom wiki and this information, at the bottom, is referenced from alex's DAW-screenshot tweet with the full facsimile and its intended meaning side-by-side. whatever narrative opinions i had regarding RWBY holistically, the score never, ever missed. beautiful, and i hope its contributors' efforts don't remain forever officially inaccessible. ta ta for now!

The fight, the music, this is one of my favorite fights in the new RWBY seasons.

This song is now being the primary inspiration for my next D&D character for sure. Daughter of my previous character all grown up and looking to make a mark. No resentment to her father but has a lot of baggage and trying to find out who SHE is which is hard when her and her father share so many traits together. "I'll be who you were and I'll be even more!" Gives me the happy tingles just thinking about it.

As a Kingdom Hearts Fan, this song encapsulates the character Aqua. She was taught by her Keyblade master that siding with the light is always the righteous thing and that darkness should be smitten. This caused a rift with her friends Terra and Ven when they were struggling with their darknesses and her own self-righteous beliefs pushing them away when they needed her support. Even estranged from her friends Aqua still risked her life to try to save them from their inevitable faiths. She was forced to battle both of her friends while they were possessed, and even sacrificed herself to be trapped in the real of darkness to save one of them (who later became one of the villains of the series because of his possession). A keyblade master and guardian of light trapped realm of darkness ALONE for 10 years you'd think someone would come to save her but no the worlds moves on without her with new keyblade masters and guardians of light, and even then she still sacrifices her chances at freedom just so the new generation can have a chance at saving the worlds. While trapped in the realm of darkness alone she hallucinates visions of her friends while fighting hordes of creates of darkness and eventually her heart falls into darkness corrupting her eventually she is saved and free by the new generation but she has hella PTSD and is thrown into another conflict to save her friends and the worlds. And as much as Aqua tries to save everyone she seems to always fail in some way much like Ruby.

so awhile ago, I got the blu-ray version of Ice Queendom, and holy crap can Jen Brown sing!
