Face it, Bruins are going into a down cycle. Worst thing could happen is that they finish just out of the playoffs and get a 12-16 draft pick. Doesn't help that Bruins have a prospect pool that is generally accepted as one of the worst in the league. More likely to drop to Hawk\Shark level than be a SC contender in near future.

@@Bruins-vq5ey Well then get better and really it's not hard to draft top 7-10. However I remember 2016 when B's drafted 14-16 and got Debrusk and 2 slugs and the next 3 were Barzol, Chabot and Conner. As a B's fan I'm sure that hurt.

Seems weird that Gus would challenge for a fight when leading 6-1. I can see Trent saying he wants to fight and Gus being a 13th forward and wants to make an impression making a bad decision and saying yes just to stand out for the team. I want to hear Gus take. Regardless, hitting him twice more when he was going down is goon style.

OK, full disclosure, I live in Winnipeg and have been both a Jets and Bruins fan since the Jets started in the WHA in 1972. I was at that game, and here are my observations from that game. 1) The top line was pretty much invisible with the exception of Pasta's PP goal from his office on the face-off dot. That line has to find a way to produce. 2) Charlie McAvoy spent the entire game trying to get his ass into the penalty box and in the 3rd he finally succeeded twice, once for a cheapshot to the head, more of that shit will get him majors, ejections, and suspensions. That doesn't help the team. 3) The number of blocked shots for the Bees D Corps is embarrassing, it was like the Jets could fire point shots at Swayman at will. 4) In the third period, Swayman turned into Mr. Sieve, granted his defencemen were NOT helping him in that regard. 5) It would seem to me that the book is out on Zadorov as a loose cannon. I caught several instances of Iafallo and Sheifele chirping him in a deliberate attempt to get him to lose his shit. If he's that unstable, he's also a liability.

No disrespect to joe, go ahead and bring up Leach. I'm betting he's partly responsible for the defense pulling their act together. He did well coaching Providence Bruins, got stagnated by the covid they never had playoffs those two seasons, then he took an assistant coaching position with Kraken- so we don't know his ceiling. He knows the development pipeline, is likely going to be the next head coach anyway.

Oh come on - everybody wanted to go all in playoffs 2023. We put it all on the table, broke every piggy bank to bring in bertuzzi, Hathaway and Orlov. It was the right thing to do. I stand by Sweeney who listened to the locker room. Gave them their best shot. And we were all on board with it. Now it's time to pay the piper. wannabe jocks Sports pundits haven't been telling fans - Bruins have been in rebuild since Chara left. Ullmark was pure dumb luck - he faked out fans and the rest of the NHL in holding off the evidence that we were in rebuild. I think Bergeron hung on another season and Krejci came back because of Ullmark. 3 years ago, I was getting deleted off the internet including this podcast, for speaking out against Jeremy being the future of the bruins. You all drank that Kool-Aid At least 40% of my comments have been deleted or censored over the past 3 years simply trying to point out flaws in Jeremy's technical play You got what you paid for We went all in 2023 playoffs That was the right decision - Bruins have been delivering a decent product to the fans so we're not tanking. Not getting access to top draft picks as the bottom feeders have. I still don't understand, why Bruce Cassidy could not get it done. Top perfection line, chara, rask, krug's power play, Kevin Millar, Chara Mcavoy, Brando on defense... A stable of shot blockers to whip out during playoffs? Yet he didn't get it done! Furthermore, Cassidy was so focused on winning a cup, he didn't develop talent and contributed to leaving our trade cupboards bare. Not entirely his fault, but when your team keeps making playoffs year after year - you're not going to end up with top draft picks. It's got to be development, undrafted guys... That's a major investment. Everybody was on board with going all in Bergeron's last season It's like you used your credit card all the way to the limit, and now the bill is due

the need for Band-Aids for this team needs to stop, fix the problem. stop relying on trades and free agents, you build winning teams from the draft. how many Sweeny draft picks have been busts and traded away? bring up Lysell and some other young guys.

Bruins franchise has been delivering a decent product for the past several years - they're not tanking. Which means we don't get access to top draft picks! We're going to have to go with undrafted guys and development for the next few years. That takes time Obviously Ullmark faked you out also - we've been in rebuild since Chara left. I respect Sweeney for going all- in playoffs 2023. Our trade cupboards were already bare but they managed to squeeze out a few pennies to bring in bertuzzi, orlov and Hathaway Everyone Sweeney brought in this summer looked good on paper. If they could play up to 75% of their potential on paper? We'd be an okay shape. On paper, Sweeney's done great. Yet, We've maxed out our credit cards. Been spoiled by these ridiculous loyalty contracts coming out of Patrice and Krejci, Marjan said he'd never take more salary than Bergeron. Pasta could definitely be bringing more in, he only ends up with about 4 million dollars in his bank account after everyone else gets paid. That $11+ million isn't going into his pocket Sweeney is the one that has gotten these players to play in black and gold for less than what they could have gotten on other teams. We've been riding off of fake NHL funny money and loyalty contracts for too long. Now it's time to use cash. We don't have any. And you knew this was coming when Chara left! Why weren't you paying attention?
