We rode it out sitting in our garage watching TV with the door wide open thanks to the wind direction, never lost power internet or cable and it was really nasty around here.

Are you worried about the fumes from the generator coming back into cabin? Also did you plug in an outlet tester to check ground? I don’t know what that generator is grounded against.,….i’d hate to see you touch the unit and get really shocked.

Not worried about the fumes. I ran the same system on my other boat. Honda EU 2000 generator set out on the deck with the exhaust pointing outward. The power is hooked into the onboard system and the generator plugs into the shore power inlet.

@ did you use an outlet tester in any of the outlets while the generator is in use? The generator will power everything, no doubt but I don’t think it will be grounded. When connected to shore power the ground is there from a he shore, but in the boat using the generator….well, just test the outlet and see…maybe I’m wrong

Good luck…but I think your $600 boat will almost certainly turn out to be a $6,000 boat. It’s just the way these things go. Hopefully I’m wrong

More like 20,000. That was the plan, to completely redo everything aboard. Engine all the way through every electronics, fuse panels and every fixture aboard has been replaced. The same boat new is well above 100,000. You may be new to the channel but I will be completing the Great Loop with this boat in May of 2025. I have completed 1500 of the 6000 mile adventure. Great place to live. I see all the craziness all over the US. Our crime is little in comparison. If someone does do anything major, you can bet they will get caught.

hospitals are mostly evacuated when H coming. The parking garages mostly empty. If I lived in a trailer, I'd go to a hospital parking garage- thick poured concrete and tons of rebar= safe.

It was the carb. They clog very easily if you leave gas in them.
