Love this review on this car, I’m really into the Dodge brand and American muscle cars in general and hopefully one day want to own one and drive it here. Maybe not a 6.2L at first because I’m only 21 and it’s a supercharged v8 so I don’t think any insurance company wants to insure me lol. But even a 3.6L base model is something which I absolutely wouldn’t mind driving at first.

You do need to know your way around cars to keep them fettled and on the road. I’ve owned both a Chimaera and currently a Tuscan and so long as you keep on top of things then yes they will give you plenty of enjoyment. Don’t get me wrong they can be frustrating to own too with their foibles but when they’re sorted they’re magic to drive!

Some weren’t , some were. BUT having been on the roads for 20+ years, most of the cars have had the niggles sorted and engineered with better tech. As such , better than when first made. Worth watching the whole video, I assume you didn’t buddy?

Well hi from across the pond ! These, on the whole, I’d say are slightly more reliable due to being more modern. But the parts are significantly cheaper , and 90% of the engine parts are Buick as that’s how the rover v8 started ! We have exported quite a lot to the US now

If they were so reliable there would be more available and seen on the road. The windows, like on Lotus, need lubricating or some idiot will burn out the motor. The early TVR's (Vixen etc) were nice although the chassis were a problem with this generation of cars. If you have some basic engineering knowledge, I prefer an early Lotus that did not need a huge engine.

This is an interesting one. But not that many were made , and there is a good amount left. People just don’t want to spend the money on the chassis work, that’s what ruins them. If you’re buying an older ‘modern’ classic , they are super value in purchase and ownership in my opinion ☺️👍

The only time my Griff 500 let me down was from my driver abuse. I snapped two drive shafts and the diff started grumbling. They never make 340 bhp though from the factory.

My Chimaera has been super reliable. Everything bad has already been replaced….just a new cam in over 10 years

2 door defender looks way better than the 4 door. Looks pretty! Could have replaced black with red, could have added punch to the color scheme. Monotones are way too common these days!
