Brilliant horse, I used to say he was the greatest racehorse of my lifetime, before American Pharaoh came along. Also, I sure wish this guy called the 2015 triple crown races!

A Wacko Kid I went to school with Got on the WildCat, It started up the first hill and stopped dead, Walt Colbrun got out and started walking back down the steep wooden hill, THe Mgmnt hollered for him to get back in the roller coaster wildcat Walt was smiling & grinnin all he way walking back down, He was never wrapped too tight ! HA HA HA

Curlin ran at 4. Brown didn't. Curlin ran in Dubai. Brown didn't. Curlin ran in the Breeders Cup. Brown didn't. Curlin beat way better horses anyway-Einstein, Lawyer Ron, Street Sense, Well Armed, Hard Spun, Colonel John, Duke of Marmalade, Go Between, Better Talk Now, Awesome Gem, Tiago, Gloria de Campaeo. Who did Brown beat? Macho Again, Tres Borrachos, Bob Black Jack, Colonel John, Court Vision, Tale of Ekati, and DaTara.

Ha Ha Ha, I think that debate is clearly settled now- Curlin is much the best!!

Curlin is better then street sense street sense won the Kentucky derby but Preakness lose again curlin by a nose but then in the third leg in curlin get second and street sense don't even hit the board and also check all the races they run again each other street sense only beat curlin one time and is all check it out

@steel966 while Curlin is the all time highest earner Secretariat won all 3 of triple crown and blew th field away with style the best horse since secretariat is Zenyatta competition for secretariat Cigar or Skip Away

@horseracergirl Actually Curlin finished third in the Derby and had an absolutely nightmarish trip. The fact that he finished that well while being so inexperienced is amazing.

...and to those who say it was just because of the slop that Curlin won, think again. Hard Spun ran a terrific race to finished second behind Curlin in the Classic after defeating Street Sense in their final Breeders' Cup prep. Both Curlin and Hard Spun finished where they deserved in the Classic and there was nothing "false" about it. All three exceptional horses!

I think Curlin was much better than Street Sense. You have to remember that Street Sense had a fantastic 2-year-old foundation to fall back on and Curlin only began his career in Feb, just months before the Triple Crown. Winning the Preakness (equaling the fastest time ever) in his 4th start is astounding, especially after getting passed and regaining the lead from his far more experienced rival. He also completely demolished Street Sense in the Breeders' Cup Classic...

great race but dont be stupid folks.yeah curlins better than big brown.he the next best horse not even fucking close learn something about horse racing first then talk to me.vid quality awful it looks like its back from like early 90s compared to just a couple years ago.they show the first two horses and nothing else the camera work is pathetic and the announcer doesnt even mention curlin goes three wide at the turn to put himself in good drive for home. he mentions curlin at wire bad at his job

He stumbled at the start. Nobody ever talks about that when talking about this race. Profoundly under appreciated horse. He wins back to back classics if on dirt. It's a shame a true dirt horse can't be himself in this age of synthetics.
