What is your method of achieving Kristianson Illumination? Snd what is your filter holder situation? I too have a BH2 and would like to up my game a bit.

@@Aiter918 yeah that’s the one downside I have with the bh2, no built in filter holder! I ended up buying this 3D printed setup on eBay, it’s awesome! www.ebay.com/itm/264364821845?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=Cz3OQeg0R2e&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=anzTc9_8R_i&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Should note that it’s specifically designed to use the abbe condenser, and won’t fit the flip down condenser or one of the turret condensers But basically I use one of the oblique filters in that set (I prefer the sliver crescent moon shape for 20x and 40x, but it’s not great for 4x as you can see in the first shot of this video) and place a piece of translucent scotch tape over the condenser. Play around with the height of the oblique filter (there are like three-4 different locations in that 3D printed holder where filters can go it’s super cool actually) And make sure to keep your samples as thin and even as you can Hope that helps, good luck!

Congratulations! It took me years to see my first water bears and hydras in person, thanks to my university providing them in a lab. We were spoiled with a huge water bear colony, and I was the only one who found the hydras-my slide ended up getting passed around!
