finally a video that comes to the point, less than 3 minutes; longer than a shorty, shorter than most others. This should be the future. And I agree with the content, and this is why I wan,t to retire there.

Ferrari never sued Pontiac. They sued the conversion company Corporate Concepts. Pontiac sold the car to dealers then told Pontiac to deliver to Corporate Concepts. That is where the conversion was done the they shipped the complete car to the dealer.
@VegasStarQuest9 ай бұрын
GM or Pontiac was NEVER sued by Ferrari. Pontiac had NOTHING to do with the MERA. Corporate Concepts did the conversions and they were the ONLY ones that had legal issues with Ferrari.

Cool story and cool car! I had an 85 GT 25 years ago, it was a blast to drive and I always thought Fieros were severely underrated ...at least the GT models.

3:55 Depends on what you are really looking for, smooth is widely considered "better" but I can see a few occasions where the "jerky" as you call it camera option may be more desired due to its "robotic" feel. Maybe you want that jerky sudden movement for a exaggerated robotic look for "reasons"...

This is garbage. The Fiero didn’t roll out of the plant looking like that. That was an aftermarket Ferrari body kit for the Fiero that was available later on. Had nothing to do with the manufacturer.

The Fiero was a dog. It only looked cool. I had an 84 I bought in 1984. I actually had to get on a waiting list for the car. I think it was about 6 months after I bought it before I could take delivery. I can't help but think the contrast between looks & performance would be even more disappointing if it looked like a Ferrari.

Wow.. this is a blatant knock-off of the 308. Not an homage, not inspiration, just plain copying. Call it a Merra if you want. Great, a different proper noun used. Ultimately, it is what it is.

I remember being with my brother at the GM Nationals at Carlisle and he was puzzled by the "Ferraris" at the end of the Fiero row. Had to see, and yes there were 2 of them there. There was also a guy with a black/gray Typhoon selling it for $7500, which was gone in an instant. I'm a TR guy, and I love the oddities. One of my biggest regrets was not knowing my friend was selling his bench seat Astroroof WH1 (non G80 strangely) for $1800. Some guys from Harrisburg bought it, pulled the engine for a ho-hum t-top GN and crushed the rest around 2006. Probably a 1 of 1 out of the 493 made in '86. I still wake up pissed off sometimes about that. Thank you to your friend for saving this.
