In an effort to have the tires hold all the weight not me….. If I were to add two more tire for front would I need tie rod and rear axle position further back. I still believe even with the biggest sand tires and perfectly designed beach cart, you’re really gone to need something motorized to take the work and struggle out of getting to the beach.

What length and size extension for receiver, how you know where to drill hole?
@VB-bk1lh12 күн бұрын
A buddy took two of those carriers and made a two tier pier cart for himself. at first he used two 20" bicycle size wheels and two casters but has since switched to four fixed 8" generator wheels. He made a recessed top lid that forms a tray on top, he found an aluminum baking sheet or pan that fit just perfect which drops right in place. (He lost the first one to the wind, so now that tray is hinged so it folds down flat on one side if needed. He added a round 1" aluminum push handle set off the top frame about 4" or so and covered with foam padding so your hands don't stick to it in the cold. The top and bottom levels are spaced using aluminum tubing he tig welded in place.. The downside is the size of the cart, its dimensions are less than ideal for most cooler and tackle box combinations. His rod holders are PVC with the tops heated and flared outward. He also incorporated a parking spike of sorts that can be stepped into the ground or dropped between the boards on the pier to keep the wind from blowing it around.

One tip, you want to get the top end of the reflectix under the edge of the roof - otherwise when it rains the water will get trapped in between it and the pop-up fabric.

Hey there! Wanting to do something similar to this with our popup, and have a couple questions. Why did you decide to place the mounting brackets and AC unit in that particular spot? I think personally I’d prefer to have ours on the other side of the camper but wanted to make sure there wasn’t a specific reason the spot you used might be best. Also, have you noticed if the weight of the AC unit pulls the roof out of alignment at all? For our camper, if it is just a little unlevel our door has a hard time opening/closing and don’t want something like this to make that harder. Thanks!
@BrileyWray2 ай бұрын
I decided on location because I didn't want to cut the larger windows and deal with sealing around the unit. This location just fit the unit and once I sealed it with trim it doesn't look terrible. I didn't have any issues with it pulling the roof if anything it made it more stable.
