I actually read J. E. Adams book "Meaning and Mode of Baptism" and I agree fully with his view, the only view that makes any sense. Those who believe baptism by immersion, do not seem to understand the difference between MEANING and MODE. I corrected my own pastor once because the church started to use grape tasting sugar water has opposed to real Grape juice or red wine in some cases. Does grape sugar water really represent the precious blood of Christ in the Lord's supper. When the Lord saved me, He gave me (and you) the gift of the Holy Spirit. That is the meaning and I was incorporated at that instant in the body of Christ and remained there to this day. That event took place 50 years ago.
