I agree! The emphasis on the stipple meander as Step One of the FMQ journey turns more prospective home quilters away from learning the skill than any other single aspect. Good instruction video!
@orbitalquilting6 күн бұрын
Thank you Debra! I wish I could just send the "non-stippling" manual to ALL THE QUILTERS IN THE WORLD! hahahaahah Then I bet every quilter would love FMQ so much more! lol

This is a very smart technique that you do to eliminate backtracking! I did a feathered wide border similarly, but I did bump-backs with backtracking, and had I known this variation I would have used it. You two are geniuses! Great video!

Thank you so much, Lexie!! I really like this one because it's easy BUT LOOKS FANCY! And I reaaaaaaaally enjoy that proportion in the balance! hahahaha I'm glad you like it too! tomorrow is the last one in the series, it's gonna be SOMETHING ELSE too!! YAY!

Hi Fran! Thank you very much!! ❤ This is another course, it is Orbital Christmas course! We apply OQA on this quilt, so it's continuous and gorgeous, obvs, lol

Quilting parallel is easier than drawing because you can use the edge of the foot to keep it parallel
@orbitalquilting6 күн бұрын
Oh, totally! That's a neat trick! And also because when we are moving the arms for quilting it doesn't involve BALANCE, with is a necessary ability of our coordination when we are drawing it with a pen! <3

💃🏻Helloooooo to my favorite dynamic duo!!!! You are so adorable 💕Your energy and passion are contagious and I’m so happy to take this quilting journey with you. I discovered your Orbital Quilting technique last week during the 2024 FMQ Summit. My biggest AHA moment was your presentation, especially the step by step demonstrations of continuous quilting on your orbital board. Totally mind blowing. It made so much sense to me, this is exactly how my brain works. I look forward to learning so much from both of you. 🌸 Thank you so much. 🥰
