Larry, what type of motor is in your simplicity? Is it a Kubota motor? Sounds like it when you started it up.

If I recall correctly it was the Kohler Vanguard Diesel. Ran absolutely GREAT. I didn't know they made a diesel engine before that.

Message from the future. I have a Stirling Ultracold 25ULT shuttle ultra low freezer with a Stirkjng engine. Rated at -86c. Bought as "for parts". A bit of a $200 gamble. Powers on, both fans work but no dice, so I'm going to power it directly like this to carefully test the Stirling unit and see if its fried. Box says its rated for 280 watts max input power and 118 watts steady at -80c. Question: what is the displacer made of? Some sort of polymer? Ive read reports of people running these in reverse under low flame heat load as generators up to 100w. Im calling BS because i think the displacer is plastic and cant take any sort of heat load. Can you confirm?

It was like that when I bought it. If I recall correctly the key in this one was just an on off it had no spring loaded start position.

Is there a reliable way to identify the different types of STI cryocoolers besides the wire diameter, if you don't have them side by side to compare? Seems like there are ~27Vac and ~100Vac versions and 70W, 100W, and 140W versions. I really appreciate you sharing information about these cryocoolers, thanks.
@pontiacexchange43865 ай бұрын
Thicker wires. If it seems like it's about all amped up at 20v though you have the lower voltage unit. I know nothing of 4 different versions. I have owned about 25 of these and never saw a middle tier one. Also Maybe the 20v one has a straight plug and the higher voltage one has square. It's been so long ago I kinda forget tbh.

That is a very solid sounding 8N. I just bought that exact front end loader from a salvage to put on my Jubilee. However, I cannot find a brand name on it. Do you know the make of that loader? It is kinda important to know in case I need to rebuild or replace parts on it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Mine is very nice to, not sure if it’s as nice as yours being I’d have to see yours in person. Mine has only been used as a mower all of its life with the 72” center mower. Love my tractor.

Just so you know, a guy 'named' Norman Simpson poses as a sales manager for Goetsch Farms LLC in selling tractors. Their website is a front at an address in Iowa whose legitimate owner has no knowledge of. They used the information of the tractor shown in this video and a listing at Machinery Pete as photos on their website. Buyer beware.

I have the same tractor. It is a work horse. I am curious, when you turn it off it makes a clunking sound a couple times. The noise comes from the trans or pto... Other B2150 vids I watched make the same clunk noise when turned off. My B2150 does also. Any idea what causes the noise?
@pontiacexchange43862 жыл бұрын
I no longer have the machine because I sold it to a lucky feller however I believe what you're hearing is either the fuel shut off, or the engine winding down and maybe even reversing a tiny fraction from the compression and inertia if that makes sense. I'm currently getting an L3710 ready to sell. I'll see if I can get it to do the same and maybe narrow it down from that.

I know you already sold that but, how much liquid air were you getting in a 24-hour period at 90 watts? I have one that uses a lot more power and I'm not getting a good rate (1L / day). I think it was around double that initially. I may have caused damage to it.

Is it possible to make my own cryocooler? If it is Where can I find blue prints or something like that
@pontiacexchange43862 жыл бұрын
It is possible yes. There are a lot of videos that pertain to it. Probably the easiest way to accomplish it though is with one of these machines. That or you could by a rigaku X-stream setup and use that. It's going to take up a lot more space than this thing does but it's also gonna produce it much faster than the other way.

Here I am bored looking for anything relative to me and my old Ford 1720 tractor and find this video. Very nice tractor. It's in fantastic shape. Mine is no where near as nice but runs like a top, has a bucket and box blade. Looking for front rims as mine have lots of rust and these odd Japanese 14x8 5 lugs are just about impossible to find. I'm probably going to have to make a set from the center sections of the old rims, I've done this to one already without any problems but on a 14x6 rim. Hard to mount tires on a 6 inch rim. Anyways, nice old tractor. Thanks for posting.
