I was really delighted to see Dr. Akyurtlu in this video. My MSc thesis was based on her amazing work on chiral material modeling in FDTD.

I really enjoyed watching this interview. It taks a special talent for a scientist to take lay people along such a complex trajectory and not let them get lost. Such a pleasant personally, too, obviously proud of his outstanding achievements, yet without a hint of arrogance. I'm definitely enjoying my expanded vocabulary -- metamaterials, genetic algorithm, optimized electromagnetic antennas, frozen bees...and so forth.

Antenna Theory Analysis and Design is one of the two (the other being Microwave Engineering by Pozar) most important RF/Microwave Engineering books in existence!

Dear Georgio, It was so lovely to see this chat. Of course I have fond memories of our interactions over the years, and I so much appreciate your spirit, your life wisdom as well as your enthusiasm for electromagnetics. Thanks so much. I hope to catch up with you again soon (Glasgow 2024?). Sorry I misses you at EuCap last year in Florence. Best wishes, David

Truly a legend and another iranian in the forfront of science. We should be proud of Prof. YRS and all he has accomplished, most importantly, training generations of experts in electromagnetics.

Thank you, it is so nice to learn about the life of someone whose book I have used for so many years. I've been using my Balanis Antenna theory book since graduate school in the mid-1990s including referencing it recently in a project.

Young people need to be encouraged and inspired. Schools are not doing enough - in general- to excite children on STEM topics. They're preoccupied ticking boxes. Parents in general, don't do enough to encourage their children. Those who do, have children who grow up to be fascinated with the sciences and get into engineering. This was a wonderful interview, thanks!
