Most songs today in general use only the first 6 chords of the Major scale. And this definitely includes EDM music. However, it seems that there is a very tiny hand full of exceptions. And this song is one of those exceptions. I absolutely love the chord progression. F minor7, BFlat sus4 to BFlat major over C, CSharp major over DSharp, and then finally, a nice beautiful E Diminished7 passing chord to get us back to F minor7. Hardly any if at all EDM songs use diminished or augmented chords to spice up the chord progression. It is always the same boring 6 chords and the same chord progressions everyday. But this song goes outside of all that. That is one of the reasons why it is so different from other EDM songs and I absolutely love it. Let there be more EDM songs with spicier chord progressions like this.

Yes. I saw Mind Against this weekend and they dropped Rakrunk by pryda and ppl went nuts. I think it was also from 2011/2012. It brought me back here. This track is one my favs from Prydz. I remember he played this in LA in 2012. He Smashed it at Vanguard in Hollywood. He’s a genius and has timeless music. Absolutely one of my top 3 shows ever!
