At least your aware of how it works I had my first fight on a tourist show at JF Pattaya, the guy was game & came to win but i won on points, i was bigger then him but he had defo had more fights then me so it kind of evened itself out, i’d been training for around 3 years, & was in Thailand for 6 months at that point, other farrang in my gym who i had competative spars with had fough & lost there to Thais, it really is a lucky dip/ lottery on what happens on tourist shows. I’ve seen people “Win” a fight against a thai who clearly took a dive & he wasn’t even aware 😂 then they do a big inspirational social media post how they beat a thai after a few months training. I’ve allso seen quality highly skilled young Thai fighters on Tourist shows, Even active fighters Like Lisa Brierly on these type of shows. Nothing wrong with fighting on tourist shows as its good experience for you, but far too many “Influncers” are doing videos making out like their ready for Lumpinee because they beat a tuk tuk driver😂

Yea I wouldn’t change a thing in my experience When I was naive/young/dumb I thought i was a bad ass 😂 And in the future I will still likely compete on them occasionally The influencer types are the ones that drive me nuts But yea as we said it really is luck of the draw In Phuket, to this day I might fight a TukTuk driver who plans to take a dive or I might fight some Dagestan/Chechean You really never know until fight night. And both are a possibility
