Here is a tip. You can crash with you plane directly into the little boss and skip the whole second boss fight.

I loved this game as a child. What I find frustrating as an adult today is that I cannot download this game anywhere online. :(

After beating the three Tale of ALLTYNEX games, then beating Reflection (still can't find a way to fight Cancer though...), then beating the original Alltynex, I decided to look up the precursor to even that. Raid Wind looks like it gets extremely difficult, yet you performed flawlessly in this. Great work!

The DOS version is worse. It not only has the same issues as this version, but is stuck with CGA graphics, an added PC speaker tune, and inaccurate sounds (yeah, PC speaker sucks, but other games like Ms. Pac-Man made an attempt to sound something like the original).

Brian Clark I totally, *TOTALLY* agree with you; the MS-DOS version of Super Pac-Man was even wayyyyy more flatly atrocious than the already plain-horrible C64 version... and that is saying a _rather_ monumental lot, having just seen the video just now about that other version indeed. Best to plain avoid those stinking effing duds altogether and stick instead with the quite excellent Arcade and 7800 versions, for example, as they are fantastic ever-truer adaptations of this original 1982 game itself by comparison!!! ;) Also, at the time of this writing of this reply to you here, my man Brian, this arcade original of Super Pac-Man is at least around 32 years old today!!! Hard to believe at first, but absolutely and most utterly true when you think about just how old this game really is since it first came out way back then. JUST PLAIN WOW, I can feel myself going to the arcades again even as I type this!!! (^-^)=b !!!

Actually no, I did not have the cartridge version; I have checked it out via emulation. You see, part of the purpose in this video is to show you this special Atari 5200 prototype version of Xevious to see how it would've played while it was at the time in development. An interesting little look, wouldn't you agree, Pacfan98? ;)

As far as I know, it was 1) an Atari 8-bit conversion (for particularly the Atari 5200 and the Atari 400/800 computers); and 2) it was also unreleased. I have played both the Atari 5200 and Atari 8-bit computer prototype versions of Xevious, and that is why I can surely confirm this to you. ;) A REALLY interesting question, by the way!! (^-^)v !

What the final boss *truly* says is "It's just you and me Stryker!!", SnapJack42, as words that are uttered right here before this ultimate showdown begins on Major Stryker for MS-DOS. Thank you so much for asking!! ;)

@cosine303 Wow, I did not even know that Ash & Dave were demosceners for the c64 home computer back in the day, as this was QUITE evident in the fact that they've created the demos "Electric Cafe" and "Digital Acid!" from back in the '80s days, apparently!! ^-^ Furthermore, I just saw the Zzap! review of Gaplus on the c64, and I am inclined to agree with you, plus that this was only £1.99 in cassette form indeed! Really interesting bit of information by the way; thanks so much for that!!! ;)

@ChiMike07 Unfortunately, in the unreleased Atari 5200 version of Jr. Pac-Man that I have played at the time of this video piece, it had no intermissions programmed into it at all (unlike the original 1983 Bally Midway arcade version which had them). No wonder that it was a crying shame that this did not get released on that home console indeed; however, there is *currently* a homebrew version of this game for the Atari 7800 that is available now through Atariage.com. Be sure to try it!!! ;)
@AdigunPolack
@AdigunPolack 13 жыл бұрын
@Kajayachtproductions Actually, since this game was unreleased for the 5200 at all, about the only way to play it was through an Atari 5200 emulator on the computer. That's it. Otherwise, Jr. Pac-Man did not make it past the completed stages of programming before this was shipped to store shelves in 1984 or so as a 5200 cartridges, and that is rather such a shame indeed. What a serious waste, as a result!! :( Thank you so much for the comment... I appreciate that!!! ^-^ !
