You want a project car start with a good one way too much work,
@MindofMatter
@MindofMatter 8 күн бұрын
@@joewade1624 I find the values of these 71 to 73 mustangs are pretty weird. You can get an almost pristine one for $18,000 but even the junkers are five grand. And then the difference between those two is way more money and work than it is worth

We have a localish guy that converted his 66' into a dually by using stepside fenders onto his fleetside truck. It looks killer.

1973? This is after gov regs lowered HP and required emissions. Yuk. $2500, maybe. And you'll have $25K to restore. Depending on what you do yourself. Find a first Gen or second Gen. Mid western car. Minimum rust. Put your money there.

Money better spent. I've done about 20 of these Mustangs. Once the rust starts, it just keeps going and going. Specially in frame rails. The outside is galvanized. But not inside. So they have a tendency to rust inside out, and you can't see it.

It can definitely be saved. If it's a matching numbers Maxh 1 it's worth about $3000 as is. If you can do some of the work yourself it'll definitely be worth it.
