I believe this was the first time I ever saw Pat Liston. At the Sheldon, I do believe. This was also the night years later I realized my sister's way of being around Pat. Little did I know they would marry within a year and have a new baby! A Pat would become part of the family. Thus, becoming my brother in law. Life has a strange way of presenting itself. Then I became the Tuesday night date. Lol

Thank you, Pat. Max is one that I'm just not getting over. When he was good he was very, very good...but when he was bad, EVEN BETTER! God made no one who was even close to epic Max Baker. Again, thank you. You, and all of the O.G.'s will never be far from thoughts...but will forever ever be deep in my heart. God bless you. Beautiful job babe.

I loved hearing the story (since that’s when I met you) and the song just knocks me out! I can’t hear it well - there’s too much treble and distortion in the speaker. Wish I’d heard this in person. Bravo, Pat!

So...I was the guy who booked this tour. One quick story. When Pat Liston was singing and doing his thing during this show, Greg came up to me backstage and said "who the hell is that singing" I said that is Pat Liston. He just said-Wow! and was totally knocked out by Pat's voice. Haha

That is so freaking cool Pat. Can't believe after so many years I just found these recordings. I knew you guys were about the most talented group when I saw you playing the Point After. That you were the nicest group I have ever met didn't hurt. But I liked going to just to hear you guys play. That you ended up touring with Gregg is just the best. Damned shame no one had film or ever video cameras.

Saw y’all open up for Charlie Daniels and Gregg Allman in Georgia back in the mid seventies. Y’all sounded great back then and you still sound great. Man I sure miss those days.

I grew up in Dogtown I remember the old van the band had before the big u-haul truck parked at rusty springs. I remember someone live on wise off of kingshighway. I remember the band loading up the van. I still remember the times the band played at my grade school. St. James the greater. Thank you mommas pride for being the fabric of my youth and the bearer of memories. I lived on west park.

Pat, I've watched you play and sing this song 14 times at several different places and each time, you put your whole heart and passion into it. At least, that's how it sounded. You may have just been acting. You're a very talented guy. If you were acting, I couldn't tell and I was watching very closely every time. Either way, I could watch you play it 114 times and never get tired of it. I find it amazing that you and Danny could still write and play such wonderful music. Tomorrow is payday and I will be buying the new C.D. (It sucks that I had to wait until payday) I'm really anxious to hear it. One thing I would like to know. What is your favorite song on the new one? I don't think you will want to answer that, but I had to ask. Thanks, Pat & Danny, for everything.

A favorite Mamas Pride story I heard from Pat: Mamas Pride would be the opening act for Gregg Allman and then after a costume change they'd come out on stage as Gregg's band. One concert reviewer wrote that he liked Mamas Pride so well, he said that Gregg Allman's band could take a few lessons from the opening act.
