It’s so cool to see the materialization that came with having a bad ass album with a terrible recording that all the fans said “you should redo that song it would be sick” and suffocation was just like “yep, let’s do it” -And through the years on every album we get to see the evolution of different recording, musician and vocal styles come together to remake a brutal, complex album with multiple layers of sinister and atmospheric musicianship. Lyrically it has some amazing points “I wreak havoc amongst the children, from a present with no future..” and technically it’s insanely impressive. Watch a guitar vid of someone playing prelude to repulsion and the talent and timing to even play that song is shocking let alone absorb all of the facets of the emotional tones it displays.

I’ve always loved the snare sound on this album. This shit will leave a dent in your head. I wish the would do a complete remix and remastering to the original recording because they really can’t match the performances originally made. Plus, Chris Richards on bass is untouchable.

Even tho hes a swordsman, its actually pretty beneficial to mix up stances and combos on bosses. I like using wind to get close, water to spam and stone to counter.

Little hiccup at 2:58 but this is a great performance. Netherton sounds like a rabid wounded psycho and I love how Gallagher emphasizes with his gutteral burps.

Old Dying Fetus concerts are a gem to witness, so glad I’ve finally seen this band, it was probably the best day of my year! Hard earned after a full work day, a hustle to the big city, jam the fuck out, and hustle back home.

I love how Kevin plays the first beat how no other drummer for them has played it since. He flams both kicks nearly at the same time & it creates this really cool effect. Every other drummer I’ve seen doesn’t play it that way, from covers up to other drummers.
