problem have only any factory not ewer use windows base softwares controller factory machines whit computer, all uses only linux base OS computers if controller motors etc, all automation in factory, linux have only safe OS who can use automation,motor controll etc, in factory machines. windows base controllers can use only hobby users home machines because no matter how destroy all and not have safe use. linux use REAL time system controller machines and windows not can do this and have lot interrupt problem and dangerous use. but hobby users not can use this controller have out off hobby user budget factory prices and too expensive hobby users. have lot more options cheaåen and non safe systems what hobby users can use.

Why is there a grounding cable? It is just low voltage DC?
@compotech6306
@compotech6306 Жыл бұрын
This is a low voltage system but there are some regulation that needs to have the option to add this grounding cable. Also if you have multiple drives it is nice to have a good equipotential reference especially if you have distributed sensors to the analog inputs.

Nice tutorial. I am having issues connecting two nodes (MC 1050 S) in parallel. I just can't get them to work. Could you please help me?

Can you explain more in detail what you mean/do when you say: ...connecting two nodes in parallel

@@compotech6306 I mean connecting two motors and controlling both of them with the motion manager. How exactly should we do the setup and how can we get encoder information ? My goal is to be able to control both the motors at the same time and get the encoder increments through RS232 COM connection. How must I setup the drivers to achieve this goal? I have set different node ID's, same baud rate and the wiring is done as shown in the documents for multiple nodes but still having trouble getting the encoder increments when two of the drivers are connected.

Linear motion can be done in many different ways, stepper motors and servo motors included. Actually we have made this guide about different methods en.compotech.se/five-technologies-for-obtaining-linear-motion-with-electric-motors/

@@compotech6306 Is it possible to get the motor to rotate to a "home" position without multiple full revolutions despite being multiple revolution counts away? i.e if home was positioned north (e.g. at step 1000) and my motor rotates 360 degrees every 2000 steps, would it be possible to go from step 8765 to 9000 or 7000 instead of rotating the whole way back to step 1000?

Yes, there are function used for round tables as an example where you can select if you want to make positioning going the shortest way (either positive- or negative direction depending on which is shortest.
