I found Rinpoche's book, NO SELF, NO PROBLEM, to be the most helpful and profound book I've read in some years. Thank you for this.

"When the baby grows up you give them steak"? What's that really important thingy about caring about all sentient beings as if they were your mother again? Do you make steaks out of your mother, Rinpoche?

@@ibehl Since when are people not allowed to question in Buddhism? Especially a logical question like this one. (Disregarding the disrespectful comments) Claiming to want to save all mother sentient beings while contributing to their lifelong torture and ultimate death is illogical and hypocritical. I’m not saying anything against Rinpoche here. I have no idea what he does and does not eat and, as many people do eat animals, I have no issue with his example. I’m talking about Buddhist meat eaters in general.

I have an idea it's metaphorical ...when the baby grows up....meaning no longer a beginner practitioner and led by ignorance but able to see , well a little better...don't have to only eat porrage!! Now the baby has grown up ..can chew on it and begin to have insight ...after study and practice ...cooking a good meal to nourish .....and chew on it on it

@@jackiedykins4412 As John Lennon said, "Being honest may not get you a lot of friends but it’ll always get you the right ones." I've had my fill of these great Tibetan bodhisattvas who thirst for the blood and flesh of sentient beings in the diaspora.
