It’s a fairly affordable neighborhood with still decent proximity to downtown Tampa and south Tampa. Wouldn’t consider it one of the best though if budget wasn’t a main focus

@@TheNoBSRealtor (4) of us went. 3-meals came cold. (1) meal was never entered on computer so it di don't arrive. Waiter was the worst. Manager did not seem to care and I told him to rip up the bill. Never will I go back to such a disaster of a restaurant.

As a US citizen, the answers were shocking! Why didn’t you all provide them with the correct answers as oppose to affirming the incorrect ones? What was the purpose of the questioning? If it was to show their historical ignorance, that message came through loud and clear. I’m stumped by their ignorance of our country’s history! Wow!

how did anyone ever survive in frame homes prior to block homes? lol If you're worried about hurricanes, live somewhere like Ocala where hurricane risk is minimal. And yes, block homes get termites, too. We got them in our block home. BLock homes are not impervious to mold or termites. You have to treat for termites annually with termite bait stations whether you live in a block home, a mobile home, or a frame home. And the number one thing - don't live in fear. Jesus Christ, our eternal King can help with that. He offers peace of mind, wisdom, and strength to overcome this world. This cursed world goes by in 2 seconds. Buy that frame home if you like it and praise God for it! xoxoxo Just don't spend all your money on beer, smokes, and lottery tickets, so you'll have that extra money to take care of your home. Don't live like a fool. And don't live beyond your means trying to keep up with the neighbors and with all the damned hype here on KZbin and on social media. "Live a humble life. Seek righteousness first and all else will fall into place. "

Don't move to FL period lol. Can't get a new homeowners insurance policy and the state will be mostly underwater in 10-20 years.. the high point is like 150ft above sea level near the Alabama border.. and the humidity sucks.. especially if you wear glasses lol. - guy who lived in FL for 10 years

@@TheNoBSRealtor My friend is looking to buy in the panhandle, where I lived for 10 years, and unless your roof is less than 3 years old, you're not getting a decently priced policy or a policy at all.. if you're south of the 10, your extra fucked lol. My townhouse was $1600/yr.. BACK IN 2010! lolol

Geesh 3 years is ridiculous, myself and the team serve the greater Tampa Bay area. Here I just got my sellers home sold with a 13 year old roof and the buyers got insurance. We see the cutoff for some insurance companies around here being 12-13yrs for new policies

I went through Ivan, Dennis, and Katrina in my time there.. some other Cat 2's but those aint nothing really (hurricane party, lol.. at least back in those younger days)..

Downtown Tampa has a wonky layout, Armature Works is good but should be closer to Downtown proper, most people won't walk from there to a lighting game, St Pete has a great simple layout, Central ave and Beach dr easy to figure out

I come from the north, and there the houses are made completely of wood. I was thinking about building a house in Ocala-FL completely out of wood frame. what do you think about? Thank you!

Hey Rafael, good question! The wood frame houses have to comply with the same hurricane standards the block homes do so it's not like they're judged on a completely different standard. You likely won't find flood zones out there either unless you're near a lake or body of water. So based on the location of the home there's nothing wrong with a wood frame home! @@TheNoBSRealtor I agree! Ocala area is perfect for mobile homes and frame homes because of low hurricane risk! My husband and I just bought a wood frame home in Silver Springs for this reason! It's the best of both worlds - we get the national forest, springs, rivers, etc and are still not far from the oceans.

definitely limits the buying options but I get where you're coming from! That was an intense storm! Luckily Tampa Bay doesn't get hit directly often, normally goes up or down the coast. Lots of those homes have been there for about 100 years and still standing

It rains in Florida, IT POURS, every afternoon in the Spring, Summer and Fall! While the wood building is being built it is soaked every day. If the work is delayed, the wood is compromised. When you move in, your home is already had like 20 years of aging. THAT, is the biggest problem with wood frame homes in Florida. If a concrete block home development gets delayed, say for financial reasons, even for years, nothing happens to the concrete block.

to @LiveCamUnleased 's point, a block home is still going to have wood studs, supports, and roofing. Similar reasoning as to why they get termites (according to my pest company) just as frequently as wood frame homes
