My two year old grandson asked to watch a video with trains and this kept him occupied for ages. He counted the number of coaches and waved to the passengers. I am now waiting to see if there is any footage of "my" railway, the ESR, where I am a guard.

There is no glory to steam trains. They are dirty, noisy, smelly, and slow.

I am not sure but much of this footage looks like it is in Europe. It clearly appears that steam locomotives are working very well not just for freight but also for passengers and at a nice pace.
