Polkadot is crazy good. But so confusing that price of dot doesn't move at all. It regularly underperformed all other coins. I hold for last 4 years and it is by far the worst performance i had in my portfolio.

Putting a Polkadot logo with a QR code on taxi cars or football players is a ridiculous waste of money - Polkadot is not for mass users, at the current stage. We need to spend some money on bringing big projects to Polkadot which are currently off-chain. We need existing successful projects to migrate onchain and choose Polkadot as their blockchain. 3 mln transactions per day from Mythos were amazing. Focus on B2B, not on B2C!

Mythos can be an example for other gaming projects, we need Polkadot ambassadors to go to gaming companies convincing them to migrate to Polkadot, showing Mythos as a proof of successful migration to Polkadot.

What do you think if Japan move to DOT as a currency ??

What about an ecerpinced team to survey projects working on other chains with lesser tech to SHOW how their "Netflix" could be better on DOT? Polkadot needs it's Avengers of OUTREACH/marketing, not just Butman.

The bit when Giotto spoke about marketing for the jet being about familiarity and trust had me laughing. People aren't going to be familiar nor trust Polkadot if they can't see a use for it nor understand what it's about. The bit that got me laughing was that Giotto is familiar to the Dot community but is so far away from being trusted he could be living on Pluto. I'd be more assured taking marketing advice from my cat. Like 1 of the other dudes said about letting Mythical do the marketing.. YES! Let the parachains do the talking. Polkadot needs good, practical parachains that can show what they can do which markets the usefulness of Polkadot as well as the parachain to the end user. Not some nonsense expenditure on jet banners and racing teams and all the bs, before people even 'GET' what Polkadot is, what it provides, wha tuse it has and what parachains provide.

good conversation point about AWS, i view DOT as industry blockchain. retail the public will never know its on DOT, but i see a future and revenue growing. the question is how this can translate into DOT value.

Regarding 2nd question (Giotto's marketing & VCs theory): Can a VC ask a team of Pokadot devs to learn & build on Solana instead? I doubt it. They will instead pick the team that already wants & can build on Solana. Do numbers show you are right, Giotto? How many entrepreneurs want to build on Polkadot and cannot find capital?

Regarding 1st question: If you tell me you are going to convert treasury to stables I'm gonna dump everything now and come back when you finished converting & spending them.. 😑 Guys please be smarter. Also, ofc you wanna spend, cause you (with exception of Giotto) didn't put the money like the community of investors, but instead are getting paid by the treasury! There is a strong bias here...

Redbull is an insane big Community , from racing to music and other urban sports. Is it really because Redbull want people to buy and feel good about Redbull, or is it that Redbull wants to expand their community/ fanbase / support & talents to do the marketing for them? The association with Redbull ofcourse is the energydrink at the end of the day, but many people know Redbull never touched/drank it, but do support Red bull through they favourite sportteam or athlete or artist or muscician and own a shirt or cap with a redbull logo on it (even if they do not drink it) I'd wish people went and bought Polkadot and feel good, the same way they feel good about buying Redbull. I'd wish also for Polkadot people buy indirectly by supporting they favourite sportteam or athlete or artist or muscician, but never touched Polkadot, maybe never will directly, but do indirect marketing for Polkadot. For NVidia, How many people asked me what Nvidia is only after it reached peak performance on the stock charts because they never heard of it before, meanwhile Nvidia is running on most people personal laptops, consoles and other devices and they never knew or never cared to know.

Creating and segmenting the budget into different categories.

To me, when I see a crypto on the side of a taxi, it means the token is at the end of its market cycle. It makes me want to sell and leave the ecosystem. I believe marketing funds are better spent on toolsets that novice developers can use to market their own products. For example, ask ourselves what are websites built on? WordPress - 1/3 of the world's websites are built here. What do they use? Plugins. "Mycred" is an example of a plugin tooling that would reach the masses indirectly. "Create a daily login rewards program or gamify your website and increase the average customer value with less marketing effort." I believe the plugin vertical is a missed opportunity, and often discounted by not consumer-facing developers like most of you are in this circle. This is why I tend to agree with Giotto w/ regards to marketing where users are opposed to where they are not. Furthermore, measurable outcomes should always be a top priority. I think racecar, taxicab, jersey stuff have their place but shouldn't used as a medium unless you have a sports bet app tailored to sell crypto to the users themselves.

Exactly Mythical onboarding and Mythicals Success on Polkadot will be our best marketing.. Not wrapping a plane. Also Agree with no one should hear the words XCM or Asset hub.. Everything should be done easily without knowing what any of that is. Lastly we need to find ways to bring as much value to the DOT token as possible. (Reduction of inflation, Core time burn, Cap the Supply, Plaza, and need more).

so glad to hear the guy say all this moving around should be seamless, in the background, done automatically. If anything, both Dot and Cosmos should solve this.
