Nicely shot and edited. It looks like there were really nice cars Sadly I missed this year. I did post a video from 2023 though. Next year I'll get there early to see the 'roll in'

It is a beautiful car! The owner was a really nice guy and he told me that he inherited it when his brother passed, and that he was keeping his memory alive by keeping the car up, so I think that it is extra special. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks so much! I can't get enough of these old Mopar cars! I was looking at a '58 Savoy this weekend at a show, and it took everything that I had not to buy it! Thanks again for the comment and enjoy your day!

So true. These were commonly used as police cars. There is one as a police car in the film “Animal House”, and another in the film “Kill The Irishman.” They were used as police cars in several states, and you can look them up on the internet and see the different police variations. Thank you for your comment!

What's going on there now? I haven't heard about any public hearings. They must have them if they plan on using the land for something else.

I haven’t yeard anything. It is too quiet. The rumours from the past have been that they were going to build condos or apartments on the land, but that was approximately 2 years ago now. If anyone hears anything, please let us know. Thanks

@shingshang8 I was hoping that the new owner would keep it as a track. Fingers crossed. I would even settle for an 1/8 th mile track

Im 70 and started out with 56 fords. To be honest they never handled and drove as good as a tri five chevy. The front suspension just had poor geometry. The Y blocks where a poor design. Bad long shaft pull type starter. Generator often did not charge at low speed. The rear main seals leaked. The oil light flickered at low idle. The rocker arms quit oiling. We still have a 55 ranch wagon. It will get a 390 FE engine full syncro trans and front frame clip and rear end from a 67 Tbird.

@thecollectoronthecorner70612 жыл бұрын
@@shingshang8 Even if you rebuilt and restored the suspension and brakes to new condition. It would not stop as well as it did in 1956. Because in 1956 we had Asbestos brake linings. The new Organic linings cant take the heat and fade out quickly.
@JohnSmith-cf4gn2 жыл бұрын
I'm almost 70 and those generators in the 50s were always screwing up and the wedge blocks that come out in 58 were gas drinkers, 331, 352, 390, and 406.
@thecollectoronthecorner70612 жыл бұрын
@@JohnSmith-cf4gn Yes the FE would guzzle gas. however gas was cheep. And a 305 V6 GMC pickup would pull any load and burn 4 times the amount of fuel a Fe ford did.
