You used arpeggiator for the sequence ? I dont know if we can do that with the Digitakt

It‘s nice. Perfect for a train ride with some gloomy literature (Republic of Weimar in my case). But after 20 minutes it was a bit too samey. Would love to have insights or hints how you did the long standing notes.

Whoah! Are you able to sync the MIDI as well? Sounds great!
@nixienoise24 күн бұрын
Yep! You'd need a USB-to-MIDI Din to be able to connect to Microcosm (or other pedal with MIDI), but the MIDI clock would sync up.

Firsties! (Because I’m procrastinating work hah). Good Jam!
@impboxАй бұрын
Very pretty! I think it works even nicer since 0.75 is not an octave but a 5th so it's adding notes that are a fifth offset from your original sequence, as long as you avoid the 4th which has a 5th out of scale it should all sound consonant.

Just to reiterate what a previous commenter said - this is not “phasing”. Polymeter would be a more accurate term

Oh man this video is killing me as I sold my Microcosm to get the Move! 😂😂
@nixienoiseАй бұрын
Oops! Luckily Move is still fun even without a Microcosm. Enjoy!
@el_daniАй бұрын
Sounds great: Do I see right: Rings and Castor are the sound sources and Oneiroi is mainly used as fx (with wavetable oscillator) and Looper is just in the end?
@baconbigbeatsАй бұрын
Are you me? That’s my setup now too. You should check out the video I just dropped with this combo. By the way, are you getting the Digitone 2?
@nixienoiseАй бұрын
Yeah! Definitely a great pairing. The new Digitone is definitely the one I was hoping for, and the GAS is strong, but it's going to have to wait a bit. The Move is plenty for me right now.

very cool. how do you find the electus? does it emit any unwanted noise/hum/whine like a number of other delay modules do?
@nixienoise2 ай бұрын
Versio is a great platform, Electus is a nice delay reverb firmware. And I've never had any hum or whine from it, or any other Noise Engineering module (unlike a Morphagene I had once, and an Ornament & Crime).

cool vid. is it possible to change the sound via cc in the same way you can with sample SRC?
@nixienoise2 ай бұрын
I haven't tried it, but looking at this MIDI CC guide -- midi.guide/d/elektron/digitakt/ -- it looks like CC 19 can control sample slot! Definitely some interesting possibilities there.
@ukbloke282 ай бұрын
@@nixienoise I said sample slot in the question - I already do this. The enquiry was about the SOUND slot.

Please do a “how to” video on the chords. Does the Digitone have a chord mode where you just play a root note?

Stellar work. I'm new to Oxi One, and I have Octatrack, and a new Digitak II. My melodic voice is HydraSynth and/or Coral. So I'm working up a new "flow".

I'd swear off hardware sequencers in favor of ableton but this machine has a lot to offer and the interface seems very well thought out.

You did well. I like these kinds of videos where someone says, “here’s what I want to make happen,” and then lets me see and hear what they did to make that happen. I’m okay with mistakes, I make them too. It’s how you are guaranteed to learn. The 12 XT is just plain fun. I’m hoping they add some more things (like playing samples in reverse), but not too many things… I don’t need a coffeemaker that can do my laundry. Out of curiosity, do you really feel you need the Microcosm with all the effects built in to the XT? I look forward to you disagreeing with me on all kinds of things. If you are ever in Denver, Colorado area I’m happy to get you a beer, coffee, coke, water, whatever.
