I have been at this airport many times when living in Cambridge during the 1990's. On one occasion I experienced Concorde taking off near from my plane making incredible noise and causing noticable wing vortexes.

Great views of central London & Hounslow. Seven years ago the Asda in Hounslow used to have a giant car park. Now it has 6 blocks of new apartments & pretty much no car park.😂🤣

When I fly into Heathrow I always book a seat on the right hand side second to last row. There is nothing to obstruct the view so I always sit there taking photo after photo. If the weather is clear I love the view of central London. The skyline is getting impressive with clusters of skyscrapers in Canary wharf, the City, Vauxhall and a few other places. Your knowledge of different areas of London is impressive, I work with some people who have lived in London for years and still don't know much about the city at all. This is a good one. Thanks!

Im the same with the knowledge as ive been a bus driver for the last 5y and ive driven pretty much everywhere in London , not everywhere but the vast majority of, so when he was naming the areas, i was eagle eying everything and naming what i recognised also. Its such an interesting view, and ive only been on a plane twice, so it means even more to me to get these kind of views. But your right some ppl have grown up in this city and only know the part where they are from, they have never got about or had a need to. Reminds me of my mum, but everyone is different, i love to get about and i learn fast, whereas others will never go outside of their surroundings unless necessary.

Wembley dweller here. The arch, though impressive, doesn't look nearly as large when near it as it seems from a distance. On a clear day on the Heathrow approach you can see it from beyond the Dartford crossing.

"North Facing"? When I lived in Toronto this runway was labelled "24L"; that is, 240 degrees, more like South West".
@mikep.5517Ай бұрын
If the runway heading is 240 and the passenger is pointing his camera out the right side of the aircraft he's perpendicular to the 240 RW heading and so is facing ~330-degrees or NNW 😁

@@markpapp8784 Ok…? So, are you saying it is still flight worthy and operational for flight? I thought all Concorde flights were now ceased from operation due to poor safety record etc etc. It must have another purpose …for spare parts etc. It looks functional on the video hence my surprise. Not knowing fully ground flight operational directives and flight company decision relating to parts etc I am a little confused. I do know that grounded planes are often pillaged and ransacked for parts for repair on operational flights to save money. Maybe they conduct secret flights for busy billionaires and dodgy drug lords or equally corrupt busy MP’s like Kier Starmer….wait until the British public finds out he is using a Concorde. Lol
