This customer ordered their machine with a pad holder, so we tested with a pad before shipping. If we really wanted to clean our floors, you're right -- a brush would be preferred! The squeegee we used is Tennant's Linatex which has a longer wear-life and perfect on most floors. Thanks for your comment! :)

The previous issue indeed was the solenoid. It was changed immediately and didn't have an issue after it was changed.

@@Stenuarts5287 For cleaning up rock salt off hard floors: Make sure the floor is dry and start by vacuuming or sweeping as much of the salt as you can. Mix distilled white vinegar and water. Pour this into a spray bottle. Lightly spritz the mixture over the previously salted floors. Let the solution sit for about five minutes, then use your scrubber to scrub and dry.
