The great Dhoruba Bin Wahad. My first time hearing him speak was last week when he and Sister Souljah & a host of other scholars/intellectuals were on Donahue. I've been a student of his rhetoric since. I'm intrigued to know more about this dialogue

I don't like the idea of attempting to organize around Black anger! Do we still have to make people mad to make them fight the evil among us? If I thought the politics of anger would work, I would join you. We Original Seed people are supposed to stand for something else, another way. Now I don't doubt that our time to get bloody has come and been with us for a while, but I doubt that the building of communist/socialist regime will be better accomplished when based on Black anger. Day by day more and more White people find themselves economically disadvantages. The only question is whether those awakened and mistreated Whites will fight with us or against us. I like organizing around our Black world view, a itemizing of our genuine proposals in regard to concrete actions that will facilitate change. Yes it is hard fighting from ground zero when the deck is so stacked against us, but I don't see in any other way. Standing up comes in many different shapes and forms and we need all of them in this fight for equality & dignity. We can pick up guns based on calls for genuine freedom, justice and equality just as easily as we can for how many of us were lynched before 1945. I get what you saying but I don't see the percentage in saying it the way you do. Now say what you got to say to people like me before you smooch the patoosy. Any revolution that replicates the evil it would replace is an abject failure. I'm not here to fail. Yes it's time to fight but how we go about it is important too.

Dhoruba Bin Wahad remains one of the most insightful analysts on the political scene today. He speaks from the heart and his personal experience. He is the embodiment of an activist who has become a scholar. You can disagree with him on some matters, but be prepared to deal with someone who has a depth of knowledge.

241 views. Anemic. How many views for the Super Bowl? Regardless of whether one agrees w DBW's politics, he provokes thought and has critical analysis NEVER heard in American political discourse, including "acceptable" black political discourse. Even those who would be his adversaries have to respect this person's sacrifice and dedication, and the absence of any pretense or phoniness in his presentation and way of being. Agree or disagree, DWB identifies contradictions that are necessary to debate, discuss, and reconcile. Exactly why he is excluded from the discourse. If nothing else he would bring spark and motion to the debate and make it more interesting.
