I love their version. They give it a more rock attack, although I love the original single recorded by Phil and Gary on his Run For Cover album ('85) which is more pop. The breakdown is gorgeous, Dyer echoing Phil's lament quite remarkably. Archer rips on the solo too which subtly borrows the rhythm parts from Still In Love With You! So glad he's getting the attention he deserves as he is almost ignored by the guitar community for someone of his talent. Check out UFO: High Stakes and Dangerous Men ('91) where his full range and ability can be heard in all its glory!

The song has turned into a right clunker. Should have been left alone. The come together bit is just awful.

I've been a Thin Lizzy fan all my life, met Phil's mum Philomina and she was the nicest person in the world (May she rest in peace) I've also had the great memories of an Irish Thin Lizzy band tribute called Thin Az Lizzy not only being in my house, but also the being my friends. This, by far is the best version of one of my favourite Phil Lynott songs

fun fact Huey lewis was not only picked up taught and cared for by Phil lynott also let him play on his solo records and let him sit in on Shows with Thin Lizzy as they co toured with Hueys band named clover. Shows that music should be shared no ego. Phil lynott even congratulated Huey lewis when he did make it with his band huey lewis and the news. Personally Huey Lewis and Phil was like two brothers.

NEVER. Would I ever expect to hear Huey Lewis talk about being in Phil Lynott's or Gary Moore's "circle" so to speak. Whats next, Ozzy & Barry Manilow??😂 Huey was a hit pop song writing machine to be sure, but was WORLDS APART from Phil & Gary's rock scene. Not shocking they were friendly mind you, just very unexpectedly surprising.🤔

I smoked a big fatty with Phil Lynott before their show while sitting in a car in the back lot of the Rainbow Music Hall in Denver Colorado. He leaned his head in and said 'what are you doing boys?' and puffed a few rounds, told us to enjoy the show and seemed like a great guy. Of course they tore the roof off of the place and left me with a memory I'll never forget.

If you watch the Rockpile documentary "Born Fighters" Dave Edmunds, Nick Lowe, and Phil Lynott are watching Albert Lee record his guitar parts on the song "Sweet Little Sister," and the camera pans back on the studio and you can see Huey Lewis standing there. This is early 1979 long before Huey joined the News and became a mega star.

I have the highest respect for Huey, From memory, he was one of the first to pay homage to Phil and dedicated his Brit award 1986 to our man when it was not fashionable to do so.
