I see where your coming from but he did it because of the overpopulation in the universe which meant that people was starving and dieing due to overpopulation so that was his reasoning which is better then the rest of the reasonings for the other villains

@@TheDevonexplorer because of starving there wouldnt be so many deaths as just killing half the universe, he still caused a massacre and even before that he killed and destroyed thousands of people and hundreds of planets

Thanos wants you to believe he is doing this to end overpopulation and scarcity of resources but that isn’t the case. Thanos has a savior complex and wants people to be grateful to him and to what he does, no matter how cruel it is. The 2014 Thanos was so pissed off that the avengers in the future were trying to undo the snap he caused, that he decided to get the stones and destroy the universe and all life in it so he could build a new one where the new beings he would create will be grateful for what he provided and have no memory of what was before that. Instead of trying to find a way to use the stones to peacefully end these issues such as creating more resources or new living planets, he makes this decision because he hates for his work to be undone.
